IKEA BOAXEL installation
You bought the BOAXEL. We install it right.
BOAXEL hangs on a wall rail, so the whole system is only as good as that rail. We find the studs, set the rail dead level, and build out your uprights, shelves, baskets and rods so it holds what you put on it. We install BOAXEL for homeowners in Alexandria, Arlington and across Northern Virginia.

How the install goes
- 01
Check the parts
We match every box to your order so nothing is missing halfway through.
- 02
Laser the layout
We mark the rail line level across the wall and locate the studs behind it.
- 03
Mount the rail
The rail goes up level and anchored. It carries the whole system, so this step gets the most care.
- 04
Hang the uprights
Uprights hook onto the rail and get spaced to your plan.
- 05
Fit the inside
Shelves, baskets, drawers and clothes rods go in at the heights you want.
- 06
Final check
We check that everything is level, secure and set the way you planned.
Before we come
- Have the BOAXEL boxes delivered and in the room or close by.
- Clear the wall and the floor in front of it.
- Tell us the wall type if you know it: drywall, plaster or masonry.
Questions
Do you sell BOAXEL?
No. You order it from IKEA, and we install it. That keeps your cost to the system plus our labor.
Can BOAXEL go on drywall?
Yes, with the right mounting. IKEA notes that drywall holds less weight than wood, concrete or brick, which is why we anchor the rail into studs wherever the layout allows.
IKEA didn't include wall screws. Is that normal?
Yes. IKEA leaves wall fasteners out of the box because walls differ, and says to use fasteners suited to your wall. Tell us your wall type when you send photos.
